I was one myself, and sometimes I forget.
I see them as children.
I feel like taking care of them,
Challenging them,
Explaining life to them… as if I (or anyone) knew.
Yes, there is wisdom that came with age and experience.
But this coexistence with the students isn't one-way.
They are also impacting my emotions, my psyche, my spirit. They disrupt what I've learned, they break down my structures with their ways of dressing, communicating, feeling, and seeing.
Their fresh, carefree energy invites me to relax.
