In my “America,” soccer is different. Here in the United States, they don't even call my soccer “futbol,” but rather, “soccer.”
The truth is, it really pisses me off that the US only identifies its country as “America.”
This was my first US soccer game, and I liked it. I liked it because of the difference:
“They pause, they analyze, a movement on the field. They pause, they analyze, a movement on the field…”
If I watched it again, I think I'd get bored, but I can understand it.
I'm used to a different sports culture, a different way of experiencing passion… and I'm not even the biggest soccer fan, haha.
“Constant movement, sweaty hugs, runs and intuitive decisions made in milliseconds, chanting, chanting, and a hot crowd…”
So different,
And I love it.
