This family opened the doors of their home and received me to the United States. I felt more than welcome during the frank and sincere conversations we shared nights, mornings, and afternoons.
The freshness and brightness of our spirits manifests effortlessly.
What could be a more valuable gift than showing ourselves as we are? I am infinitely grateful for allowing me to see them in their laughter, tears, hugs, and cultural sharing.
Their starry eyes are there, just as mine are in me… sometimes it’s hard to see ourselves in the mirror, but there’s always someone else who reminds us where we want to go. The best way to help is to be faithful.
